TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By using the services of Modern Tech Appliance Repair (“we,” “us,” or “the Company”), you (“Customer” or “you”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before allowing a technician to begin work.

Scope of Services

Modern Tech provides independent appliance maintenance and repair services for home appliances. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or officially connected to any appliance manufacturer. All brand names mentioned are for identification purposes only.

Services cover appliances out of warranty, including but not limited to refrigerators, washing machines, ovens, air conditioners, microwaves, and dishwashers.

Appointment and Punctuality

We aim to arrive on time. If there is a delay, we will notify you promptly. Appointments may be rescheduled if necessary.

Service Fees

  • A service fee applies to each visit, even if repair is not completed.
  • Electrical appliances: EGP 250 for the first device, EGP 120 for additional devices.
  • Gas appliances: EGP 200 for the first device, EGP 80 for additional devices.
  • Fees may vary depending on location and appliance type.
  • Service fees are non-refundable unless explicitly stated otherwise. Fees cover diagnosis and assessment only, not repair labor or parts.

Estimates and Approval

  • We provide a repair estimate including parts and labor before starting work.
  • Approval of the estimate is required before repair begins.
  • Additional issues discovered during repair will be quoted for your approval.

Completion of Service

  • Service is considered complete once payment is made and/or the customer signs the acceptance form.
  • No refunds are offered for completed services or ongoing repairs.

Customer Responsibilities

  • A responsible adult (18+ years) must be present during the service.
  • Ensure the technician has unrestricted access to the appliance.
  • Provide a valid payment method.
  • Avoid smoking or creating distractions near the technician.

Payment

  • Payment is due upon completion of service.
  • Accepted payment methods: Cash, Visa, MasterCard (credit/debit).
  • In case of non-payment, we may pursue legal or administrative measures in line with local regulations.

Installation

  • Standard installation includes removal and/or installation of the appliance.
  • Modification or repair of electrical, plumbing, or gas systems is not included.
  • Additional labor may be charged for complex installations.

Spare Parts

  • We use high-quality parts compatible with your appliance.
  • Warranty applies only to parts installed by our technicians.
  • Normal wear and tear or external damage is not covered.

Warranty

  • 180-day warranty applies to the specific issue repaired by our technicians.
  • Does not cover unrelated problems or damages caused by third parties, misuse, or voltage fluctuations.
  • Warranty is non-transferable.
  • Activation requires receipt of an official invoice from the technician.

Limitation of Liability

  • Liability is limited to the amount of service fees paid.
  • We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including appliance transport, external plumbing/electrical issues, or misuse.

Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for safety reasons or disruptive behavior. Service fees may still apply if refusal is due to customer circumstances.

Refunds

  • Transactions, parts, and services are final unless authorized in writing.
  • Refunds on labor or parts are provided only at our discretion.

Disputes

  • Customers agree to resolve credit/debit card disputes directly with Modern Tech.
  • Administrative fees may apply in accordance with local regulations.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt. Any dispute will be resolved in accordance with local regulations.
